How to check the status of lights on the extender?
Followings are the meanings of light status of an extender-
Status LED – This indicates your range extender's status.
* OFF – no power on the range extender, check if device is properly plugged into a power source.
* Blinking Blue – range extender is starting up.
* Solid Blue – Your device is connected to the available Wi-Fi network.
* Solid Amber – connected to the Wi-Fi network but is getting a weak signal.
NOTE: If the wireless signal is weak then it may lead to performance
* problems and hence it is recommended by experts to move the Belkin Wireless Range Extender closer to the wireless router.
* Blinking Amber – range extender is not connected to a Wi-Fi network.
NOTE: Reaffirm that your wireless router is functioning properly if not then move the Belkin Wireless Range extender near to your router.
Alternating Blue/Amber – range extender is ready to be setup.

1.If a connection is not established,the light will blink amber.
2.The WPS light (small light above WPS button) will blink blue while it
listens for your Wi-Fi device. Once a connection is established, the
light will turn blue and then go out.

Router Status Light
Your Router’s status is shown by the light on the front.
>>Off: The Router is not plugged into a power source.
>>Blinking Blue: The Router is starting up.
>>Solid Blue: The Router is connected to the Internet.
>>Blinking Amber: The Router can’t detect the modem. Either the
modem is off, is not plugged into the Router, or is unresponsive.
A) Status Light

Blinking Blue: The Range Extender is starting up.
Solid Blue: The Range Extender is connected to the Wi-Fi® network.
Solid Amber: The Range Extender is connected to the
Wi-Fi network but is experiencing a weak signal. The weak
signal may be either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band. A weak
signal may lead to performance problems. Consider moving
the Range Extender closer to the wireless router.
Blinking Amber: The Range Extender is not connected to the Wi-Fi
network. Check to make sure that your wireless router is functioning
properly, and/or move the Range Extender closer to the wireless router.
Alternating Blue/Amber: The Range Extender is ready
to be set up. (Refer to “Getting Started” for instructions
on how to set up your Range Extender.)
B) Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) Light and Button
The WPS button on the top of your Range Extender can be used to
help establish a secure connection between your Range Extender
and other WPS-enabled Wi-Fi devices such as computers. To
use the WPS feature on your Range Extender, see “Advanced
Settings> Wi-Fi Protected Setup > Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup.”
The small LED light near the WPS button shows what is
happening while you are using WPS to establish a connection.
Off: Idle
Blinking Blue: The Range Extender is listening for
a WPS-enabled computer or other devices.
Solid Blue: The Range Extender has made a secure
connection with the computer or other devices.
Blinking Amber: A connection was not created.

In order to configure the Belkin range extender you need to follow the instructions below:
> plug in your extender near to the router for the initial setup within 10 feets
> Press the WPS button on the router for 3 -4 seconds and then on the Extender for 3- 4 Seconds
> Once you see the light stopped flashing on the extender it means the extender is setup now
Step 2
> Connect your computer wireless to the extended network
> pull up browser and at the very top type in 192.168.206.1
> You will get through a login window default username: and the Password :
> click on quick setup and Continue , Follow the instructions to complete the setup
