To setup amped re2600m range extender follow these steps:-
>Plugin the amped range extender near to your home router for the initial setup.
*If you made any change on the extender before, then reset the extender by pressing reset button for at least 20 seconds.
>Connect any of your wireless device with the amped wireless network.
>Open any browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.240 or http://setup.ampedwireless.com
>Now you will see the SCAN button on the page, click on it and after that it will scan the wireless networks nearby to it.
>From the list select network that you want to extend and then enter password for the same.
>In the next step if you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
>Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
a. Plug the Range Extender into an available power outlet near you router like 3-4 feet away.
b. Connect your PC or Tablet to the Range Extender’s Wi-Fi network: Amped_AthenaEX_2.4 or Amped_AthenaEX_5.0
c. Open your web browser.
d. Type in: http://setup.ampedwireless.com into the web address bar.
e. If the web menu fails to open, type in the following IP address into your web address bar: http://192.168.1.240
The Dashboard will provide you with the current status of the Range Extender.
Click SCAN to find an available network to extend.
The diagram on this page displays the terms used to describe:
1. The network you are trying to extend (Home Network).
2. The network that is rebroadcasted and extended (Extended Network).
If the wireless network(s) you are trying to repeat has wireless security enabled, you will be prompted to enter a security key.
If you are repeating a dual band router, you will need to enter the security key for both the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz network.
If either network does not have security, leave the field blank
Complete the setup and after that setup your extender 25-30 feet away from the existing router and extender will extend the wifi in dead zone.
