How to setup Linksys extender Re6700?

• Place the extender near to the router and wait for the blinking light.
  press the Wps button on the extender for 3 sec and then on the router for 3 sec
  Than open the browser and type linksysrepeater.net
  Put your admin username and password and start your setup
  Select the network you want to extend and connect to it and press save
  Follow the steps and your extender will be configured.

• Setting up the Linksys RE6700 AC1200 AMPLIFY Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender is easy with its browser-based setup feature. There’s no need for an installation software or setup CD.

  Before you start the setup process, ensure the following:

  An active Wi-Fi connection.
  Your Wi-Fi name (SSID) and Wi-Fi password / security key.
  QUICK TIP: The Wi-Fi name and password are from your existing Wi-Fi settings and are case-sensitive. For instructions on how to check your Wi-Fi settings, click here.

  The Linksys RE6700 should be plugged into a power outlet. Wait until the light is blinking orange before starting the setup process.
  Follow the steps below to set up your range extender.

  Step 1:
  Using a computer or a mobile device, connect your device to the range extender’s default SSID, which is Linksys Extender Setup – xxx.

  NOTE: The xxx represents the last three characters of the Linksys RE6700’s MAC Address. This can be found on the label at the back of the device.

  Step 2:
  Open a web browser, then enter “http://extender.linksys.com” or “192.168.1.1” in the Address bar.

  Step 3:
  Click Start Setup
  Step 4:
  The As a wireless range extender option will be selected by default upon setting up. Click Next.
  Step 5:
  Select your Wi-Fi.

  NOTE: If your Wi-Fi is also using a 5 GHz band, you should see it with the 2.4 GHz band.
  TIP: If you have a hidden SSID, scroll all the way down the list and click Manually Enter Network Name and Password. Otherwise, wait until it detects your Wi-Fi.
  Step 6:
  Enter your Wi-Fi password in the field, then click Next.
  Step 7:
  You will be prompted to configure the extended wireless network that the range extender will be broadcasting. Change the settings as you prefer or leave the defaults as is, then click User-added image.

  TIP: The extended wireless network is the Wi-Fi that your range extender will broadcast for nearby clients to connect to.
  Step 8:
  Click Next if the Spot Finder indicates that the Linksys RE6700’s location is Just right. This feature determines the signal strength between your range extender and your router. If your range extender is Too far or Too close, relocate it accordingly, then return to Step 1.
  Step 9:
  Create an admin password to secure your Linksys RE6700. Optionally, you may also add a password hint.
  Step 10:
  Click SAVE

  You should now have set up your Linksys RE6700.

• Linksys Re6700 setup process, First place your extender 2-3 feet near by your existing router after power LED will lit up solid. Now press WPS push button on your router for 2-3 second and after on your extender now both devices wps light will be blink after 1-2 minutes go to the wifi setting in your PC or Cellphone and conncet witk Linksys_Extender_setup wireless, type the default password if it’s asking otherwise you will get Linksys_Extender_setup open connection. And after Login into the web page http://extender.linksys.com/. Now follow the instruction do setup with your existing wifi and once setup will done you can setup this extender 25-30 feet away from router and now you can use your extender. It will work,
