  • In order to manually upgrade the firmware of Tplink archer c7 router follow the instructions below:
    > Make sure the computer should be connected to the router wireless or via Ethernet cable
    > pull up a browser and at the top on the address bar type in 192.168.0.1 or http://www.tplinkwifi.net
    > router login screen for the Tp-link router will come up
    > The default username : admin and password : admin
    > Go to advanced tab > System Tools > Firmware upgrade
    > Open a new TAB on the browser Go to https://www.tp-link.com/us/download/Archer-C7.html#Firmware
    > make sure the hardware version should be same (you can find the Hardware version of your router under the router on the label or the firmware update screen on your router dashboard)
    > Download the file and upload it on the router page.
    > the update is complete.
