  • In order to check and upgrade the Firmware of your Tplink router please follow the instructions:
    > make sure your computer is connected to the router wireless or via Ethernet cable
    > Pull up a browser and at the top on the address bar type in 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
    > You will get to the router login screen for your Tplink router
    > The default Username: admin and Password : admin
    > go to advance settings and you will see firmware upgrade option
    > you will either see check online option or upload file option
    > if you see the check online option click on it it will check and will display the new firmware upgrade if available click on YES.
    > But in Case you dont see the check online option pull up a new tab on your browser
    > and logon to https://www.tp-link.com/in/download/TL-WR841N_V9.html#Firmware
    > before you download the file make sure you have the correct hardware version of the router that can be found under the router on the label like V9.
    > Now once the file is downloaded make sure the file is in .bin format
    > upload the file on the tplink firmware page
    > it will ask you if you want to upload this firmware of your router, Hit YES and wait for at least 5 – 6 minutes.
