  • – You need to login to your router.
    – Visit https://192.168.1.1 or https://www.linksyssmartwifi.com
    – On the dashboard look for Wireless.
    – Under Wireless setting, you can find Channel settings.
    – Changing channel can improve wireless connection and can make it worst.
    – First always try to change the channels to non-overlapping ones.
    – For 2.4Ghz-1, 6, 11 and for 5Ghz-153.

  • You can change the channels by following these steps-
    >Login to your router control panel by typing in any of your browser’s address bar 192.168.1.1.
    >Go to Wireless settings
    >You will find Channel option for both the bands (2.4Ghz & 5Ghz)
    >By default channel will be selected as Auto, you can change that according to your Choice/requirement.
    *Do change the channels carefully as it affects the internet speed that you are getting from your ISP.

    On the dashboard look for Wireless and here you can see the current channel on which router is working .
    You can change it manually like either 6, 10 or 11 these are few best recommended channels for proper working of your router and other connected devices.

  • in order to change the channels on your linksys router, Please follow the steps below:
    > make sure the computer is connected to the router wirelss or via ethernet cable
    > pull up a browser and at the top on the address bar type in 192.168.1.1 or http://www.linksyssmartwifi.com
    > the router login window will come up default username: admin and password: admin
    > Go to wireless settings under you will see the channels.
    Change teh channel and save the settings.

    Note : Best Channels for 2.4Ghz : 1, 6, 11 and for 5GHz: 141, 157, 161
