  • Well in this case first of all you need to connect ethernet cable directly from your modem to the pc and check out the speed you will be receiving from your ISP.
If you are getting the right speed then its fine otherwise you need to have a word with your ISP regarding that and confirm about the speed from their end.
If you are getting the right speed directly from your modem then you need to upgrade your router with better one in the market.
That will definitely resolve you high speed issues.

  • Maybe you are paying for 500Mbps but what if Your ISP is not providing you that speed?
Please do connect to your modem directly and run a speed test.
If you are getting speed around 500 then follow these steps on your router.

    – Check for a firmware update on the router.
    – Change the wireless channels.( 2.4Ghz-1, 6, 11 / 5Ghz-153)
    – Reset and setup it again.

  • Well i agree with what Leo have mentioned above.
So lets say you have this modem since a long time and you have recently upgraded your speed which means that this modem is not compatible to give you a speed up to 500 Mbps
How ever confirm with your ISP once what speed are you getting if they say 500 mbps then you woul need to get a new router.
