  • WPS Method will work for you.

    – Plug the extender near to your router.
    – Use direct socket no surge protector.
    – Press WPS button on your router for 4 seconds.
    – Do the same with your range extender.
    – Wait for 3-4 minutes.
    – Now you can see host wireless name with _EXT.
    – Connect to it using host network password.
    – Once connected try going online and if it didn’t work try hard reset.

  • You can connect your Linksys Extender with a Linksys Router using WPS method, to do the same you can follow these steps-
    > Plug in your Linksys Extender into the direct wall socket near to your Linksys Router to complete the initial setup.
    >Now you need to press WPS button on the router continuously for 3-4 seconds
    >Now do the same thing on the extender as well for 3-4 seconds.
    >After doing it you will see on both of the devices that lights start blinking and within few minutes same lights will be stable/solid.
    >Now you can place your Linksys extender back where you want it but it should be in the range of the router.
    >On any of your device if you look at wifi networks list, you will see a new network name ending with _EXT.
    >Now try to connect your device with same _EXT network and put the password of the router wifi.
    >Now try to go online/browse any website.

  • In order to setup the Linksys Range extender you would need to follow the following steps:
    Step 1
    > First connect your computer wireless or wired to the range extender
    > logon to extender.linksys.com
    > initiate the setup.
    Step 2
    > Press the WPS button on the router first for 3 seconds and then on the extender for 3 seconds once the light on the extender stops blinking the setup is complete.
