– Connect to your extender wireless or hardwired.
– Open your browser.
– In the address bar type 192.168.0.254/250 and enter.
– Login with admin credentials.
– Under wireless choose the band.
– Change the name and hit save.
– Reboot your device.
Open the browser and type in their 192.168.1.254 or http://www.tplinkrepeater.net
Type your user name and password . (Default user name – admin password-password).
It will open router main page then you need to go to wireless section .
Under wirless section you can change network name .
save the settings and connect your devices with new network name & password.
In order to change the SSID for Tplink router you need to follow the following steps:
> you would need to connect to the router wit the TPLINK wireless or via ethernet cable.
> logon to a http://www.tplinkwifi.com or you can logon to 192.168.0.1
> default username is : admin and the default password is : admin
> go to the basic settings under you will see the wireless settings
> change the name for the wifi here
> apply the changes and connect your devices to wifi
To change the ssid manually of your TL wa 855re router kindly follow these steps:-
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6. It will open router main page then you need to go to wireless section .
7. Under wireless section you can change passphrase/network key and your network name(SSID) as well.
