To connect with both the bands i.e 2.4 and 5 ghz you just need to select the network name affixed by 2.4 ghz or 5ghz and connect with same by using password.
but your device should be properly configured to use both the bands.

All you need to do is look for your network list for the 2.4ghz and 5 ghz connect anyone of it using your wireless password.
Just make sure the if the device is not compatible with 5Ghz you will not see the 5ghz band in your network list.
