  • In order to Upgrade the firmware, please follow the steps below:
    > Connect your computer wireless or via ethernet cable to your linksys router
    > Pull up a browser and login to 192.168.1.1 and hit Enter
    > Router login screen will come up the default username: admin and the default password: admin
    > you will get to the Linksys router dashboard
    > on the left panel you will see Connectivity
    > click on check for update , click on yes to complete the update if one available
    > your router will reboot connect your devices to the Wifi again

  • – Connect with your Linksys router wireless or hard wire.
    – Open your browser.
    – Type in the address bar 192.168.1.1 or http://www.linksyssmartwifi.com.
    – Login to your Linksys account.
    – Now go to wireless settings.
    – Now on the right click check for update.
    – Wait until you see the result.
    – Upgrade if any firmware is available.

  • In order to update the firmware of your linksys router ……
    Connect your computer with the wireless of your router.
    Open the Browser and enter the Default ip address of your router i.e 192.168.1.1
    Now you need to enter the details of your router access page and login to the router page.
    Default username should be admin and password is password itself
    Now go to the wireless option on the router page
    Under this you will see check for new updates , so check in the box and look for new firmware upgrades.
    Once the upgrade is started it will took 2 minutes approx . so till the time all network connections will be interrupted.
    Now your router is upgraded with new firmware .

  • To update the firmware of your Linksys router you need to follow these steps:-
    1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
    2. Type CMD in the run box.
    3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
    4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
    5. Type your user name and password .
    6. now you are on router main page .
    7. you need to go to advanced tab and then administration there you will find upgrade of your router.
    8. click on update it will take 2-3 minutes and it will reboot your router automatically after
    updation. now your firmware of router has been successfully updated.
