To Enable the 5GHz network on the Linksys EA6700, Please follow the instruction below:
> Connect your computer to the wireless of the router via ethernet cable to the router port number 4
> Pull up a browser and at the top on the address bar type in 192.168.1.1 or https://www.linksyssmartwifi.net
> login screen will come type in admin and admin as username and passowrd.
> On the dashboard on the left side click on wireless
> you will see 2.4GHz and 5 GHz settings all you need to do is Enable the wireless broadcasting for the 5GHz
> Save the settings and reboot the router
Note : if you are doing a new setup in the initial setup it self you can enable the 5 GHz band
To Enable 5Ghz channel of your Linksys Ea6700 kindly follow these steps:-
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password.
6. It will open router main page then you need to go to wireless section .
7. Under wireless section you can enable 5ghz channel .
8. save the settings and start using your router.
