In order to change the name and the password for the EA6700 linksys Router:
> Connect your computer to the router wireless or via Ethernet cable
> Pull up a browser and at the top on the address bar type in 192.168.1.1 or https://www.linksyssmartwifi.net and hit Enter
> You will come through a login screen, the default username: admin and the password: admin
> you will be directed to the linksys EA6700 router dahsboard
> Left side of the screen click on wireless, Here you can change the name and the password for your Wifi.
> make sure you save the settings before you exit after changing the details.
To Change the Wifi Name & Password of EA6700 Linksys Router kindly follow these steps:-
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6. It will open router main page then you need to go to wireless section .
7. Under wireless section you can change network name and passphrase/network key.
8. save the settings and connect your devices with new Wifi name and password
