i am getting a red LED light on the extender what does that mean?

If you are getting a Red light on the extender it means that the connection between your router and extender is too far., you need to take your extender close to the router .
-You need to reset the Range Extender if the power LED is red.
-Press reset button for 20 seconds.
-If WiFi LED is red then you need to check the connection between your router and Range Extender.
-Just reset the Range Extender and setup it again to resolve this issue.
As you have mentioned that there is red light on the extender this means either extender is too far from router or there is some obstacles in between the network. In this case kindly take your extender near by your router and reset your extender while its plugged into a wall socket and resetup the device.
