You can test the latency of your internet connection by using http://www.Speedtest.net i.e the most popular online speed test. Anything below a ping of 20ms is considered to be great, while anything over 150ms could result in noticeable lag in speed
It is a web service that provides free analysis of Internet access performance metrics, such as connection data rate and latency.
