  • in order to check why the wifi connection is unstable there are few things that can be checked:
    > Check the Ethernet cable connected to the router or the modem into the internet port is not loose or damage.
    > Check if there is any latest firmware pending on the router
    > try to switch the channels on the router for both the bands. For 2.4 GHz band (try it 1, 6, or 11) and for the 5GHz band (try 153 or 157)
    > if the wireless is unstable just on a particular device try to reset the network wireless adapter of the device and it should fix the issue.

  • In order to rectify the problems you need to check out if there is any mew firmware upgrade available or not?
You can try to change the channels from auto to channel 10 or 11 .
You can change the frequencies of wireless bands on which the internet is working.
At last try to power cycle your modem and router and try to use the internet connection again.
If still issues are there reset your router and configure it again

  • To resolve this Issue kindly follow these steps:-
    1.Reboot the cable modem.
    2.Reboot the Tp link router.
3.Update the firmware of your router.
4.Verify if signal is strong through the cable modem.
5.Disable WPS within the router admin (Advanced Settings > Wireless > Wi-Fi Protected Setup).
6.Change the ‘Channel’ for 2.4Ghz from Auto to Channel 1 within the router admin (Advanced Settings > Wireless > Wireless Setup)
7.Clone the ‘MAC Address’ by clicking on the “Clone Your Computer’s MAC Address” button within the router admin (Advanced Settings > WAN > Internet Setup).
at last you can try this step:-
8.Go to Advanced Settings > LAN > Host and LAN Settings Change “Enable DNS Proxy” to Off Save.
your issue will be fixed with these steps if not just reset the router and re configure it.
