  • 1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
    2. Type CMD in the run box.
    3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
    4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
    5. Type your user name and password .
    6. It will open router main page now go to Advanced >System Tools > System Parameters to load the 2.4GHz WDS, click Enable WDS Bridging.
    7.Click Survey, locate the root router’s SSID and click Choose.
    8. If the root router has wireless password, you should enter the wireless password of the root router.
    9. Click Save,now Disable DHCP.
    10. Go to Network > DHCP Server, Deselect Enable DHCP Server.
    11.Configure the IP address of the router- Go to Advanced >Network > LAN, configure the IP address of the extended router to be in the same subnet with the root router and save the settings.
    Now you can login to the web management page, click Advanced > Status > Wireless to check the WDS status. When the WDS status is Run, it means WDS bridging is successfully built.

  • 1. Open the router page by putting the username and password
    2. Go to Advanced -> System Tools -> Go to 2.4 G Network and enable WDS option from there
    3. Go to Survey and choose router’s SSID and Password should be entered
    4. Save the settings and disable DHCP then go to Network and disable DHCP server as well
    5. Go to Adavnced -> Network -> LAN and configure IP address settings for the extended router and save it
    6. Once settings are saved you are good to go

  • WDS bridging
    Visit http://tplinkwifi.net, and log in with the username and password you set for the router. The default Username and password are admin/admin.

    Survey the SSID to be bridged:

    Go to Advanced >System Tools > System Parameters to load the 2.4GHz WDS, click Enable WDS Bridging;

    Click Survey, locate the root router’s SSID and click Choose

    If the root router has wireless password, you should enter the wireless password of the root router;
    Click Save.

    Disable DHCP:

    Go to Network > DHCP Server;

    Deselect Enable DHCP Server;

    Click Save.

    Configure the IP address of the router:

    Go to Advanced >Network > LAN, configure the IP address of the extended router to be in the same subnet with the root router
    Click Save.
