To setup your Netgear nighthawk router in bridge mode kindly follow these steps:-
1.Make a note of the WiFi settings of the other router to which this router will connect.
2.You need to know the SSID, WiFi security mode, wireless password, and operating frequency (either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz).
3.Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to the same router.
4.Type http://www.routerlogin.net. A login screen displays.
5.Enter the router user name and password.
6.The user name is admin. The default password is password. The BASIC Home screen displays.
7.Click ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Wireless Bridge.
8.The Wireless Bridge page displays. Select the Enable Bridge Mode checkbox.
9.Click the Setup Bridge Mode Wireless Settings button. Enter the settings of the other router:
10.Select the wireless network frequency (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) For 802.11ac mode, select 5 GHz.
11.In the Name (SSID) field, enter the wireless network name (SSID).
12.In the Security Option section, select the WiFi security mode of the other router.
13.If prompted, type the passphrase (the WiFi password that you use to connect with WiFi to the router).
14.Click the Apply button.The settings for the other router are saved and the Advanced Wireless Settings page displays.Click the Apply button on the Advanced Wireless Settings page.

1.Get the wireless settings of your main Wi-Fi router. You need the wireless name or SSID, wireless security type and network key or passphrase.
2.Connect a computer to the LAN port of the R6900 that will be set to Bridge Mode.
3.Open an Internet browser and go to http://www.routerlogin.com.
4.An authentication window will open. The default username is admin and the default password is password.
5.Once you have the NETGEAR genie page, click on Advanced Tab. On the left side, click on Advanced Setup then click on Wireless Bridge.
6.Click on Enable Wireless Bridge Mode and click on Setup Bridge Mode Wireless Settings button.
7.Select Wireless Network (5GHz a/n) for Please choose a wireless network to take advantage of the gigabit Wi-Fi speed. Specify the wireless settings of the main Wi-Fi here (network name or SSID, wireless security type and network key or passphrase) and click on Apply.
8.You can change the IP address settings to dynamic or fixed. By default, it is set to Get dynamically from existing router. Click Apply to save the settings.
9.Once the settings are saved, the Status page will open and Connection Status is now Connected. Your R6900 is now properly configured as Bridge.
