i am trying to set up my linksys router and i am getting unidentified network while i am connnecting the linksys router to my desktop pc ....i have tried all the steps but stil not workling .

Might be your Ethernet cable goes bad, Change the cable than try to set up your router
Either you can setup your router on laptop which have wifi functionality, if you do not have he laptop.
Get the Ethernet cable or wifi adapter .

1. Update your Network card drivers
2. Restart your Router and Modem
3. Update router firmware
4. Use one connection OR bridge connections
5. Check adapter settings
6. Enable/Disable Network Connection
It could be a problem with your computer.
-Try using different PC.
-Change the ethernet cables and try.
-Try setup it using a tablet or Phone.
-Reset your router using hard 30 second reset.
To resolve this issue kindly follow these steps:-
1.Reboot the cable modem.
2.Reboot the linksys router.
3.Update the firmware of your router.
4.Verify if signal is strong through the cable modem.
5.Disable WPS within the router admin (Advanced Settings > Wireless > Wi-Fi Protected Setup).
6.Change the ‘Channel’ for 2.4Ghz from Auto to Channel 1 within the router admin (Advanced Settings > Wireless > Wireless Setup)
7.Clone the ‘MAC Address’ by clicking on the “Clone Your Computer’s MAC Address” button within the router admin (Advanced Settings > WAN > Internet Setup).
at last you can try this step:-
8.Go to Advanced Settings > LAN > Host and LAN Settings Change “Enable DNS Proxy” to Off Save.
your issue will be fixed with these steps if not just reset the router and re configure it.
