How do i connect my TL-WA850RE Extender With Dual band Telstra Router ?

To connect my TL-WA850RE Extender With Dual band Telstra Router , Plug in the extender into the wall socket near to the main router just for the initial setup.Make sure that if you have made any changes on the extender before then reset it by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds. Now connect any wireless or wired devices with the extender's wireless network.Now open 192.168.1.254  OR  tplinkrepeater.net on the browser of the same device. Once you will see the setup wizard on the page , follow the instructions to finish the setup of the range extender.Now save the settings and range extender will repeater after the settings are saved.Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.

To setup Tplink TL-WA850RE range extender follow these steps:-

>Plugin the range extender into the wall socket near to your Telstra router for the initial setup.

*If you made any change on the extender before, then reset the extender by pressing reset pinhole for at least 30 seconds.

>Connect any of your wireless or wired devices with the TP-Link extender's wireless network.

>Open any browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.0.254 or http://tplinkrepeater.net

>Now you will see the setup wizard in the page, follow the instructions to set up the range extender

>If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.

>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.

>Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.

Just press the wps key on the extender for 3 seconds and then wait for one minute and press wps key on the router. Let the light get stable and after that try to connect with the wireless device with the network. It will get configured.

  • Connect your smartphone or computer with the Tplink extender’s network
  • open your browser and type this address:- 192.168.0.254
  • it will take you to the setup page of the extender and then create your login password
  • Now it will search for available wifi networks, select your Telstra router’s wifi network and then it will ask for the wifi password or Host password.
  • enter the wifi password that you are using for your current new wifi network
  • do the same thing for the 5g band your if your router is 5G compatible otherwise select Skip Option
  • now confirm your extended network and then save the settings.
  • Your extender is configured now

Steps you need to follow:

  • Place the TP-Link range extender nearby to your Telstra router and power it on for the initial setup.
  • Press the WPS button on your extender and hold it down for 3-5 seconds.
  • Within the 1-minute press WPS button on your home router.
  • Wait for the extender lights get stable and now try to connect any of your wireless devices with the extended network.

  • To setup TL-WA850RE Extender With Dual band Telstra Router first you need to plugged in your extender near by router under 10 feet for the initial setup
  • Then you need to press the wps button the extender for 3 second and then press the wps on the router for 3 second
  • When the light get solid means your extender is configured properly
  • Now can place it anywhere in your home and enjoy the internet
