Powerline is “Plug and Play” and should therefore work without any additional setup if requirements are met. (Some powerline adapters also serve as a wireless AP which may need configuration based on customer’s needs.)
Depending on your Powerline model, you can connect from 15 to 64 nodes.
Powerline products have both a network password, and a device password. A particular device’s password, which is not changable, is printed on the powerline product label. The device password is mostly used to access or make changes to a remote powerline adapter. You can setup a powerline network without encryption or a network password.
If you’ve moved a powerline unit, or disconnected the cables, your other network devices may need about 5 minutes to refresh their information about the Powerline’s current status.
If you have earlier powerline products, switch to the encryption used by later products. (Early versions of XA601 and XE602 are known to have compatibility problems with newer models.)
The actual wiring of the building or the house must also be considered when using the powerlines. The wiring could be longer which may cause the power adapters not to detect each other or may affect performance. To test whether a house’s electrical wiring is contributing to powerline problems, plug units in the same room. Examples of potential problems are:
Old fuse boxes.
Old wiring that does not meet modern wiring building codes.
Use the same powerline models for best connectivity. Software for a particular model may not work for another model. Remote and advanced features may not work between Powerline manufacturers.
Powerline is not directed at businesses, however it may work in a business environment. In some cases noise can be limited by placing line conditioners or surge protectors between the source of the noise, and the Powerline units. (Not between the units.)

TO SETUP YOUR POWER LINE ADAPTER YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS:-
1. Plug PWL 1000 adapter into a power outlet near your router.
2. Use the supplied gray Ethernet cable to connect from the PWL 1000 adapter to a LAN port
on your router so that the Power line network can gain access to the Internet. The Power
and Ethernet LEDs on the Power line adapter should turn on.
3. you need to wait for at least 1 minute here and after that you can check the lights on your
adapter i.e power light , ethernet light , power line light.
There is a different way as well (by wps method)
Use WPS to Connect to Your Network
To automatically connect to the PowerLINE access point using a WPS button:
1. Press and hold the WPS button on the PowerLINE access point for
two seconds and release it. The WiFi LED starts to blink.
2. Press the WPS button on your WiFi device for two seconds and
release it.
When the WiFi LED stops blinking, your WiFi device is automatically
connected to the Power LINE access point and you can surf the web.
later on you can set security and customize the settings of your device as well .
if problem still persists you can reset your device and re setup the device.
To connect your sony bravia tv to wifi powerline adapter you need to follow these steps:-
1.Press the HOME button, then select Settings.
2.Select Network → Network Set-up → Set up network connection → Easy.
3.Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the set-up.
4.After completing the set-up, select Refresh Internet Content.
