Many people want to keep an eye on or in their houses while at work. Someone is worried about the kids being taken care by the babysitters, pets in destruction mode or may be somebody breaking into the house. Arlo Camera does it for you. It secures your property and its assets. There are many VoIP based security camera in the market that are very expensive, hard to setup and very hard to access control or monitor. But Arlo resolves all these issues for the end user.

What’s in the box?

(As per regular Arlo Pro Camera)
1. Camera (It depends on how many you have purchased).
2. Base Station.
3. Power Adapter for the base station.
4. Battery for the camera (Model: CR123).
5. Ethernet Cable.

All you need to do is:

Firstly, take all the parts of the system out of the box. Insert the battery into the camera. Connect the Ethernet cable between the Base Station and Router. Connect the power adapter to the base station and wait for the light to lit. Now we need to sync the cameras one by one with the base station using the Sync. Button first for 3 seconds at the base station’s end and then at the cameras end.
Once all the camera are synced, it’s time to create an Arlo account for login.

You can access your Arlo camera from tablets, PC, and phones. You can download the Arlo Application from Apple store for I phones and I pads and Play Store for Android. Let’s create an account using a computer first. Just like www.google.com, open arlo.netgear.com. As you are a new user Click “Create New Account”, enter your name, email, billing address, new password and hit continue. Now the setup will detect for the base station and cameras. It will further guide you to name them as one camera as “Backyard” and second as “Front yard”.
Now, the cameras are ready and just need further settings as per your requirement and it’s very easy. Click on the camera and it will guide you to make changes like:

Motion Sensors

Arlo camera has the ability to sense any motion the cameras are facing from a distance and also has the capability to further notify it to end user. Not only that it also has the power to record the motion for up to 3 minute. So, the user can even check what has happened. You can set the motion power as per the requirement and it also works at night.

Arlo Camera can also notify you about the motion through an email or message.

You can use your camera as a door bell as you can even talk both ways.

Night vision

Arlo camera has the capability of recording and giving live feed at night as well.

You can use the Arlo Application on your phone to have access to your camera and recording from anywhere in the world. There are many more features in premium version. Arlo account give you up to 7 days of cloud recordings. These cameras are tough when it goes to high or low temperatures, wind, storms or snow. One base station can have up to 5 Arlo Camera which could be increased to 15 cameras by paying some amount on monthly basis.
