How to set up Linksys EA8500?

In this blog, we will discuss the steps on setting up the Linksys EA8500. Follow the steps and you will have your Linksys router running in no time.
Connect the antennas to the router and plug in the router to a power source. To power on the router, switch on the power supply.
The next step is, connect the internet cable to the router. There is a yellow internet port at the back of the router, connect the cable from the modem to that port of the router. Wait for few minutes or until power indicator on your router becomes solid.
A Quick Start Guide came with your router. You will see secure wireless name of your router in this Quick Start Guide. Connect to the router by using this secure wireless name. It can be changed later. Select the option to automatically connect to this network in the future. Once you complete router setup, you will have internet access.
For the Linksys Wi-Fi router setup instructions, open a web browser and if you do not see the instructions then type www.linksyssmartwifi.com in the location bar.
Follow all the on-screen instructions and fill all the required fields asked in the instructions until you reach at the end of the process.
After the setup is done, create Linksys Smart Wi-Fi account by following the instructions seen on the screen. Linksys Smart Wi-Fi is used to manage the router’s settings such as:
To change the name and password of your router.
Guest access setup. This setup creates separate network access for guests without direct access to the main network. You can set and limit access options for Guest Network user.
Configure parental control. This setting enables the parents to keep an eye on their children and can limit their access time on internet.
Connect devices such as printers, laptop, smart phones etc. to the internet.
Speed testing of your internet connection.
