My amped extender is not connecting to the internet, what should i do?
Plug in your range extender in the wall socket and turn it on. Then press and hold the reset key on the extender for 30 seconds.ย Connect your any wireless deviceย with the range extender or you can also connect it directly through theย ethernet cable. Go to your device and open a browser and at the top on the URL bar type 192.168.1.240 or https://setup.ampedwireless.com and hit enter. It will directly open the setup dashboard thenย click on the scan Button wait until it scans the Wifi Network. Just keep in mind that ย you choose the correct name and type correct password for your existing Wifi. It willย reboot your extender and you should have internet. If you still face any kind of problem then reboot your router and do the above mentioned procedure again.

If your extender is not connecting to the internet, Please follow the instructions below:
- Press and hold the reset button down for 30 seconds while the extender is powered ON.
- Connect your computer wirelessly or via ethernet cable to the range extender
- Pull up a Browser and at the top on the address bar type in 192.168.1.240 or https://setup.ampedwireless.com
- You will get directed to the Dashboard click on the scan Button wait until it scans the Wifi Network.
- Make sure you choose the correct name for your existing Wifi and put the right password for it.
- your extender will now reboot and you should have internet.
- If in case you had a problem again. Please reboot your Router and your extender once and try again.
Open your Web Browser to Access the Setup Wizard
a. Open your web browser.
b. Type in: http://setup.ampedwireless.com into
the web address bar
c. If the web menu fails to open, type in the
following IP address into your web address
bar: http://192.168.1.240
Note iF have problem with accessing web browser :
a. Disconnect your PC from all Wi-Fi networks
b. Attach an Ethernet cable between the PC and the Range Extender
c. Open your web browser and go to http://setup.ampedwireless.com again.
Connect Amped extender with your computer or laptop with the ethernet cable.
> Open a browser page and Type Default IP address for your Amped Extender
( Default IP : 192.168.1.240 )
> It will take you to the extender dashboard.
> Click on Scan button and select your home network that you want to extend.
> Now type password for your home network with which you want to extend.
> Keep name for your extender network.
> Save your settings.
> Now wait for few seconds extender will reboot and then it will connect to your network automatically.
>First of all, Turn On your amped extender
> Now connect your computer with amped extender's wifi network
(if its not showing you the extender's wifi network then you have to press and hold the reset button for at least 30 seconds and then release it and wait for the lights to get stable and then try it again)
> once you are connected to amped extender's network
> then open your web browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.240 or https://setup.ampedwireless.com
> now it will take you to dashboard of the amped extender
> Click on Scan button and select your home network that you want to extend
> after that enter the same wifi password that you were using for that network
> In the next step, you have to create a name for your extended network and save the settings
> After that your extender is going to reboot automatically and then you can connect your wireless devices to the extended network.
To setup amped range extender follow these steps:-
>Plugin the amped range extender near to your home router for the initial setup.
*If you made any change on the extender or on the router before, then reset the extender by pressing reset button for at least 30 seconds.
>Connect any of your wireless device with amped wireless network.
>Open any browser and in the address bar type http://192.168.1.240 or http://setup.ampedwireless.com
>Now you will see the SCAN button on the page, click on it and after that it will scan the wireless networks nearby to it.
>From the list select network that you want to extend and then enter the password for same.
>In the next step if you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
>Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
