how to configure my tp link re 450?
Plugin the extender into the wall socket and make sure it is in the at least 5 feet range from the main router for the initial setup.now press and hold the WPS button on the router for 5 seconds and then within 1-minute press and hold the WPS button on the extender for 3 seconds and now with the help of any laptop or computer connect to the extender wifi and then open the browser.in the long address bar of your browser type the IP address of the extender and it will open the login dashboard, fill in the login detailsonce you are logged setup the security password and save the settings.
•First you will need to place the tp-link extender near to your router and then plug the power to WiFi extender.
•Press the WPS button located at the tp-link extender and do the same on your router, within two minutes, tp-link extender will connect itself with the existing network.
•Type http://tplinkrepeater.net or 192.168.0.250 in address bar ,if the setup is not working.
•You will notice that the LED status will be solid green.
Once your tp-link extender is connected with the existing network you can place the WiFi extender where the dead zones are at your location.
- Turn On your Tplink extender
- Connect your computer or smartphone with the Extender’s network
- Now open your browser and type this address:- 192.168.0.254
- it will take you to the setup page of the extender
- create your login password and after that, it will search for wifi networks and from there you need to select your router’s network and hit next
- then enter the wifi password of your main wifi network and hit next
- After that, you can confirm the extended network settings and then hit save.
once your extender is configured after that you can connect your wireless devices with the extender’s network.
You just need a wifi enable device to setup TP link re 450 repeater. Connect your device to extender network.Then open your browser and type tplinkrepeater.net or 192.168.0.250 / 192.168.0.254 and hit enter.You will get setup page and through that you can setup your extender .
Note-Most of the extenders are dual band .If your host network does not have 5GHz band do not setup extender’s 5ghz band.Always skip that band .
To connect your TP-Link RE-450 repeater you just need to plug your extender near by router but it should be plugged into a direct wall socket.(do not use any surge protector or extension). Then press WPS button on your extender for 3-5 seconds then WPS light will start blinking.Then press WPS button of your main router you will be connected to the network automatically.
After connecting you will see your extender network name under network section connect on that network. Then open a browser and open tplinkrepeater.net it will open a setup wizard follow the instructions and you are good to go now.

In order to configure the range extender you need to follow the instructions below:
> plug in your extender near to the router for the initial setup within 10 feets
> Press the WPS button on the router for 3 -4 seconds and then on the Extender for 3- 4 Seconds
> Once you see the light stopped flashing on the extender it means the extender is setup now

> Connect your computer wireless to the extended network
> pull up browser and at the very top type in 192.168.0.254 or 192.168.1.254
> You will get through a login window default username: admin and the Password : admin
> click on quick setup and Continue , Follow the instructions to complete the setup
