Plug the Linksys RE6800 into a power outlet. Using a computer or any mobile device, connect your device to the Linksys default SSID. Open a web browser and enter”192.168.1.1″ in the Address bar to launch the setup. Create an admin password and your password hint then click Save once done. Select wireless range extender option then click Next. Select your existing wireless network and enter your password. If you have a hidden SSID, click Manually Enter Network Name and Password. Otherwise, wait until it detects your wireless network and select your network. Create your extended Network names and wireless Passwords. Your device will automatically check for the latest available firmware and update it.
