  • Before you begin setting up a Static IP on your router, make sure you do the following:
Obtain the following information from your ISP:
Internet IP Address,Subnet Mask,Default Gateway,Domain Name Server (DNS)
    then kindly follow these steps:-
1.Access the router’s web-based setup page. Open any web browser and enter “192.168.1.1” in the Address bar then press enter.
2.You will be asked for your login details. Leave the User name field blank and enter “admin” in the Password field then click OK.
3.On the Setup page, select Static IP for the Internet Connection Type then enter the Internet IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS provided by your ISP.
    4. click on save settings .
If you’re using a Linksys Wi-Fi Router, you can manually install Linksys Connect after setting up the router with a Static IP.
