In order to connect the Amped Range extender to the home network please follow the instruction below:
> Plug in the extender to the power and wait until it boots up.
> Connect your amped extender to a computer either via ethernet or wireless
> Pull up a browser and at the top of the address bar type in 192.168.1.240 and hit enter.
> You will get to the setup screen for your extender. Click on Scan and follow the instruction.
> With the above steps your extender will be configured.

if your VMB3500 is only showing you the power light it means that it's not getting the internet from the router so check the cable and it's not synced to the Arlo cameras.
Please check the ethernet cable between the router and the base station is connected fine.
